Our mission
To support local rescue organizations through education and by creating and implementing custom training programs for adoptable animals. We set up rescue animals behaviorally for success in forever homes.
Our Process
Behavior is the study of one, which means each animal is behaviorally evaluated individually, and no one training program is the same. The customized training programs are created for animals transitioning from shelter life to a life in a home with a family. Education is provided to the rescue organization, the foster family and the adoptive family.

Mocha
6 yr old female Sheltie/Rough Collie Mix. Mocha was brought to a local vet by her current owners who adopted her a week prior requesting euthanasia. The family had small grand-children and complained that Mocha was herding them when they would run around due to her instinctual behaviors as a working dog. A family member who Mocha had never met before grabbed her aggressively to stop her from chasing the kids, and out of reactive fear she nipped the man. The vet office did not act on the family’s euthanasia request, but did take custody of Mocha. After living at the vet tech’s house temporarily, Mocha came to the Pro Pet Train Ranch to begin her training & rehoming journey. She arrived very anxious and lacking confidence. Mocha had severe separation anxiety and lacked trust with humans. After a couple months Mocha blossomed into a completely different dog. She was loyal, trusting, obedient, confident, and at peace. She walked well on leash, and did great in public. She no longer chased children when they were running, and was now dog and cat friendly. Mocha got adopted by a wonderful family where she would have a large yard to chase squirrels, and a dog and cat companion. The family has fallen is love with her and Mocha is thriving in her new forever home.

Tiger Lily
2 yr old female petite pitty. She was found as a stray wondering St. Augustine who had clearly had a litter of pups at one point. She was taken to a local rescue in St. Augustine to be vetted and came back as heartworm postive. Joplin, her name at time of rescue, was as friendly as they come and loved to play and greet all people and dogs that she crossed paths with. She was playful, spunky, loyal, cuddly, and an all-around great companion. Due to no fault of her own, she was put on the euthanasia list where she was again rescued and brought to the Pro Pet Train Ranch. Joplin had severe separation anxiety and needed some general obedience and leash training. She excelled in all areas and gained the needed confidence to settle and feel safe enough to relax. She became one of the best-behaved dogs on the ranch. She welcomed and loved meeting new people and dogs alike. After just 3 months she was adopted! She now lives in Atlanta, GA and she was given a new name, TigerLily - (due to her orange and black striped coat) and began her new journey full of love and all the comforts of having a furever home!

Scooby
Scooby was originally adopted from the Flagler Humane Society by an elderly lady. At the time he was a 3-4 year old ShihZu Mix. As time went on, Scooby became too much for her to handle as he had become anxious causing him to have aggressive behavior towards ANYONE who entered her home. This was causing his owner too much stress after having a stroke. Courtney was called to come and complete an assessment to see if he would be a good fit for the ranch to train and re-homed in a more suitable situation for him. He took to Courtney immediately. Training and confidence building started right away-after about six months, Scooby was ready to be adopted! Courtney teamed up with Ayla’s Acres, a rescue center in St. Augustine, and he found his happily ever after in St. Augustine with an amazing family and his Shih Zu brother!

Asher came to Courtney as a 11-month-old puppy with no training living on a farm. Three days after getting her, Asher went into heat. So, training started immediately at a home to train Asher how to be a house dog with rules and how not to remove her diaper. She blossomed into an amazing inside dog once she learned boundaries. Her forever family has spoiled her, and she loves her new family including her dog sibling.

Milo was a 2-year-old mix that was an inside dog in the true meaning of inside. The previous owner did not even have the dog go outside to pee but used pee pads. Milo became so protective and anxious that he would growl and snap at anyone that came near his owner. When Courtney received him into her care, she had to train not only correct inside dog behavior but also teach Milo how to be a dog. Milo learned to be a dog that loves to play with dog toys and enjoy going outside especially for walks in the park.

Hera was being left for most of the day in a crate in a garage. She had aggression issues because of the lack of human love which intensified trust issues. Courtney started the training with gaining Hera’s trust and guiding her into trusting other people. Hera also learned the skills to become a house dog. Once Hera became a house dog, she loved just hanging on the couch and getting love. Being outside was not her thing. Her forever home came as the perfect match. A lovely lady who lives in an apartment and loves watching movies.
